Cutting Instructions:
Fabric #1 Cut (1) piece 10 1/2” x 20”
Background
Fabric #2 Cut (1) 3 1/2" strip by WOF.
Background Subcut (4) 3 1/2” x 1 1/2”, (12) 2” squares, (4) 2 3/8 squares
Binding Cut (2) 2 1/2" strips by WOF. Join strips together, and set aside.
Fabric #3 Cut (1) 4 1/4" strip by WOF.
Background Subcut (1) 4 1/4” square, (3) 3 1/2” squares
Fabric #4 Cut (1) 2 1/2” strip by WOF.
Background Subcut to (1) 2 1/2” x 20”, (2) 3 1/2" x 1”
Creating the Background
Make (4) Flying Geese Units:
Use the (1) 4 1/4” square from Fabric #3 and (4) 2 3/8” squares from Fabric #2.
Draw lines from corner to corner on the wrong side of your 2 3/8” squares.
Place (2) 2 3/8” squares on opposite corners of the 4 1/4” square from Fabric #3. Your diagonal lines on the Fabric #2 create one diagonal line from corner to corner. There will be a slight overlap in the center where the (2) smaller squares meet.
Sew a scant 1/4” from the marked guideline on both sides. Cut apart.
