The iridescent nature of the dragonfly (the ability to project different

colors depending on the angle of the light) is associated with one of

its many myths. Dragonflies are seen as having magical properties to

unmask the real self and to remove any doubts that we cast upon

ourselves or our sense of identity. Regardless of what they inspire

us to find and reveal in ourselves, their beauty is remarkable and

inspiring to behold. This Dragonfly has a beaded body and iridescent

wings made from hand painted and stitched lutradur and is flying on a

quilted background of buttons and sequins.
