Branching out

Of all our bird visitors through the year, my favorite are the chickadees.

Small round feathered balls of joy, they are very friendly and curious,

and will follow me around as I'm gardening and even chatter back and forth

with me should I join in their happy song. My Grandmother also loved her

chickadee companions, and I can't help but feel her presence when a

they come to sing in my yard.
