Machine Quilting
Discover the possibilities of machine quilting with your own machine.
We will discuss threads, needles, different battings and so much more.
This is a skilling-building class that will encourage you to drop your shoulders and your feed dogs. Take the next step to finishing your projects!
Fusible Appliqué
Raw Edge/fusible Appliqué is a fun and simple way to create beautiful quilted pieces. In this class, you will learn my tips and tricks for using different types of fusible, fabric choices to make your creation pop, and how to get comfortable stitching down your projects.
Thread Play on Appliqué
Where 'function' meets FUN! A class designed to increase your comfort level stitching down your appliqué projects as well as invite a sense of play in your use of threads!
Artful Appliqué
Explore adding the 3rd dimension to your projects using the fun new product Terial Magic. You can choose either Hollyhocks, Sunflowers or Indian Paintbrush or Poppies to brighten up your wall while you learn how easy it is to include 3-D petals. We will also cover some basic fusible applique tips and techniques, stitching and quilting ideas all while you create a garden of fabric flowers!
Fabulous Felted Creations
The world is full of beautiful fibers just waiting to be part of your next art quilt! In this class we explore the combination of needle-felting, couching and thread art to make unique fiber creations, and discover the perfect quilted background on which to display them. One and two-day workshops available.
Thread Painting
Give your projects added depth and dimension by using thread to embellish and emphasize or even create an entire focus piece out of thread. This is a skill building class that will help you engage your creativity and drop your feed dogs.

Bobbin Work
Can’t resist all those incredible decorative threads that won’t fit through a sewing-machine needle, why not try bobbin work? In this class we’ll explore the decorative stitches on your sewing machine, as well as play with free motion embroidery techniques used in thread art.
Landscape Quilts
Turn your landscape or floral photos into beautiful quilted pieces! In this class we’ll go over some of my favorite techniques to create original wall hangings, using your own photo as an inspiration. Come and learn a combination of skills that will give you the confidence to create unique and personal works of art! Raw-edge or fusible appliqué experience is useful but not required.
Recommended two-day workshop, but one day classes are also available.
Adding the 3rd Dimension
Explore adding extra depth to your art quilts using the fun new product Terial Magic. In this class we'll create a small wall hanging designed to show you how easy it is to include three dimensional petals in a garden of fabric flowers!

A fun and simple way to bring your fabric projects to life using Inktense watercolor pencils. Easy to control, blend and completelypermanent when finished, these pencils will become one of your favorite 'tools in the box'. What do you get when you combine coloring on fabric and thread painting?
Unique, beautiful quilted creations! In this class we will explore creating some simple watercolor drawings on fabric and then embellishing them with thread. Schedule a play date with your inner child!

Creative Backgrounds: Painted Landscapes
Design and create a unique landscape quilt based on a personal photograph or choose from a basic drawing available in class. Using techniques inspired by Gloria Loughan, we will play with the concepts of perspective, balance and focal point as well as adding color to fabric and layering.
*recommended as a two-day class,but one day workshop also available.
Creative Backgrounds: Radiant Landscapes
The perfect background can turn a beautiful focus piece into a stunning one. In this class we will explore how playing with color, value and texture can create wonderful quilted works of art using Gloria Loughman's book: Radiant Landscapes. Use your creation to highlight an applique, or let the play of color and texture become a pillow, bag or abstract quilted creation.

Creative Backgrounds: Abstract Landscapes
Play with patterns, color, light and design as we create wonderfully fun and striking landscapes inspired by techniques from Gloria Loughman.
We will also cover using uncommon fabrics, painting and other embellishments to enhance your work.

Out of the Box:
Expand your horizons (and your photos) using a combination of Inktense pencils and thread painting.
This technique will show you the joy of coloring outside of the lines!

Ba-Da Bling!:
Explore different ways to add sparkle, shine and fun to your quilting. In this class we'll play with Hot Fix crystals, Angelina, foil, Lutradur and iridescent medium to add a little extra shine to your life and your projects.

Creating Quilted Visual Texture with Lutradur:
Explore the different ways to use Lutradur to add interest and dimension to art quilts. Lutradur is a fun fiber that you can stitch through, print on, paint, distress, and is even strong enough to make a lampshade with!

Sculpted Butterflies:
Create your own shaped butterfly to adorn your quilt, hat, bag or even clothing! Heat Moldable batting quilts just like normal but upon heating it becomes stiff and moldable into shapes which become permanent once cool!
